Christ the King Catholic and Church of England Primary School
The former St. Edward’s Catholic Primary and the St. Barnabas Church of England Primary schools combined to open again as an interfaith primary school with completely new purpose built school building on 3rd May 2011.
Christ the King Primary School, as it is often known, is a one form voluntary aided school from play school age to year 6 with up to 15% of building costs funded by the Catholic Diocese of Shrewsbury and Church of England Diocese of Chester.
On the 1st April 2022, Christ the King Primary School became part of the Holy Family of Nazareth Multi Academy Trust.
With a large open area around the school and the nearby South Park there is plenty of scope for outdoor activities. Currently the school is developing a gardening area for the children.
